Couple of Hours......

Route 1 - Yarmouth

This nice steady route is mainly on road with a short hop along the former railway which once ran alongside the River Yar Estuary.  Access to Colwell Bay, Totland Bay and Freshwater Bay are available en route and if you fancy venturing a little off course you can also visit The Needles.

Distance: 15KM / 9 Miles

Route 3 - Cowes

This route utilises the old railway line that runs alongside the River Medina to Newport.  As it's a circular route it can be riden in either direction with the chain ferry operating between Cowes and East Cowes creating the link at the most northerly point.  The West side of the route is riden off road on the old railway line whilst the East side is riden on roads (mainly quiet)

Distance: 15KM / 9 Miles

Route 5 - Brighstone

If your looking for Mountain Biking then this will be right up your street, you only have to look at the elevation to get a headache.  What it lacks in distance it makes up for in Inclines and Declines, utilising the ridge of both Mottistone and Brighstone Downs the views are as stunning as the quick decents.

Distance: 16KM / 10 Miles or Shorter Route 13KM / 8 Miles

Route 9 - Newport

Utilising the Sandown Cycleway between Newport and Merstone the first part of this trail is off road, at Merstone it turns further inland and passes close to the villages of Rookley and Gatcombe on mainly quiet roads.

Distance: 16KM / 10 Miles

Route 11 - Sandown

A short ride that goes through Sandown and takes you along the seafront towards Yaverland (passing by Dinosaur Isle and The Isle of Wight Zoo) sweeping around the country roads towards adgestone and then rejoins the Sandown cyclway bringing you back into Sandown.

Distance: 8KM / 5 Miles
